About Us

2.15.10

Well first off, let me introduce ourselves. My name is Bryan Long, my wife Ashley Long and my younger brother Danny Long are all in this business venture together. My brother and I were raised around snakes and catching them in the wild. As kids we had a few pet snakes of our own to include a Corn Snake and a Ball Python and many other reptiles as we were growing up but never more than one or two at a time. A lot of people wonder how others got started well this is our story.

My brother was deployed over to Afghanistan in the army. He called me one day and asked me if I would care for a pair of Albino Ball Pythons he was going to purchase from someone here in the states. So of course I said I would. At this time I haven't owned a reptile much less a snake, for the greater part of 15 yrs so it was a welcomed idea and man how much the care and husbandry changed in those 15 yrs! Back when we had a Ball Python it was a glass tank, heat rock, heat lamp and a hide. Oh my, how things have changed!! Knowing I was going to be recieving these snakes soon I went ahead and did a lot of researching, reading, watching youtube videos and found a few great forums that were very beneficial to basically a newcomer to the advanced caring of Ball Pythons. I recieved the pair of Albino Ball Pythons and from there, the love for the reptiles was re-ignited and quickly became a flaming hobby. After a few months with a hand full of snakes we decided to try our hand at breeding. Within the span of about 10 months we found ourselves with 30 Ball Pythons and its still going! We always see awesome new morphs that catch our eyes that are a must have and snakes that are needed to make a specific morph.

This is our first breeding season and we are learning many many things along the way and learn new things about these awesome reptiles everyday. But nothing anyone can tell you or try and teach you can even come close to witnessing it first hand. I still struggle with this all the time trying to identify different signs that they are trying to tell me especially when breeding and trying to read a female. Thank goodness for all of the great people we have met over the past few months that are there to answer our every question and talk us through most situations and give us more than stellar advice! To those of you that have helped get us started and helped us along the way we send out a special thanks to you!!

Please enjoy our site and if you ever have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to get in touch with us! We would be glad to help any fellow herper with anything we can!!!

Thanks,
Bryan, Ashley & Danny Long
